Description

I would like to have an option to remove the opener completely. AppsOrder doesn’t work very well but Custom Menu works great for editing the top bar. I would also like an option to have different groups (so for example, if someone had one package vs another in a service, the top bar would show different icons depending on the package or group).

Benefits

More flexibility and better way to edit the top bar. Easier to make subscription services.

Thank you for your time!

Hi,

You can already complete this configuration. Nextcloud allows to limit an app to groups (cf screenshot). Then:

  • go to the custom menu configuration
  • select "Top menu"
  • click on "Applications kept in the top menu" and select alls apps
  • click on "Applications kept in the top menu but also shown in side menu" and unselect all apps
  • select "Global"
  • check "Force this configuration to users"
  • and save
