They only know what message a rule produces when they try running it. Including the messages in the documentation will make it easier for people to know what to expect. There are a couple of undocumented placeholders, but I can live with that for now.

Not
Not(Rule $rule)
Negates any rule.
v::not(v::ip())->isValid('foo'); // true
In the sample above, validator returns true because 'foo' isn't an IP Address.
You can negate complex, grouped or chained validators as well:
v::not(v::intVal()->positive())->isValid(-1.5); // true
Each other validation has custom messages for negated rules.
